Manotick

Manotick is a community in Rideau-Goulbourn Ward in the rural south part of the City of Ottawa. It is a suburb of the city, located on the Rideau River, immediately south of the suburbs Barrhaven and Riverside South, about 25 km from downtown Ottawa. Watson’s Mill is Manotick’s most recognized landmark. It is the only working museum in the Ottawa area and one of very few operating industrial grist mills in North America. Indeed, Watson’s Mill still sells stone-ground whole wheat flour which is made on site.

In terms of Real Estate, Manotick is composed of older homes built on larger plots of lands mixed with newer developments, sitting on lots ranging between 1 to 2 acres. Manotick has a small town feel with a slower pace of life and has great amenities such as Your Independent Grocer, Home Hardware, Great Canadian Dollar Store, LCBO, Beer Store, and many great restaurants and unique shops. Manotick has been known for being one of Ottawa’s most prestigious communities and neighbourhoods.
